I recently did a stint at UTC Power in Connecticut in my area of computers. While I was there I learned a lot more about Hyrdrogen power than I had known prior.
Hydrogen Fuel Cells have been used since the Apollo Program and are used in the Shuttle. They are 0 emmisions, high power systems. So imagine a 1969 Camaro with a Hydrogen Fuel Cell turning faster 0-60 and 1/4 miles than it did with a 396 under the hood. No Emissions and quiet. Okay the quiet part wouldn't be good but the rest. The Hydrogen systems that are in the Honda, Hyundai, BMW have limitations based on space in the vehicle. How much room does a 69 Camaro have under the hood and in the gas tank area for this? Much more. Jay if you are readin this I also saw that you own a Hyrdrogen Fuel Cell car. I think because of your celebrity status need to push to have even a prototype Muscle Car/Hyrdrogen cell built so we can get the country leaning that way and not into these hybrids and electrics that create enormous enviromental impact when built even if they are good afterwards. Hope this is more or less in the right place. |

The biggest problem with hydrogen is it does not exsist in a state by itself,it's the most abundant element because it combines with most elements.
Good luck on hydrogen replacing the gas engine with power. -------------------- The best whistle a man can get..

Nevertheless, I think the biggest hurdle is getting the hydro fueling stations across the US. -------------------- Tom

Hydrogen powered fuel cells are a joke, the hydrogen gets converted into electricity which then powers an electric motor to move the car. Why not just build a better battery? |

You made some good points there. I did a search on the topic and found most people will agree with your blog.
